Ste Gertrude is the guardian of Travelers! So Explorers are welcomes to visit this church!!

My experience, Explo description:

Ste Gertrude did live from 626 to 659. The congregation of Gertrude has a 500 year old history. They constructed 7 churches. Riga was invaded many times, and almost every time, the churches were burnt and destroyed...

The present church was designed by architect J.D. Felsko. Work started in 1864.

The building is a cruciform with a nave of 3 segments and a short cross nave. The building is in Gothic style.

The Organ was purchased in 1906 and costed 8,000 rubles!

My personal recommendations:

Have a look at the interesting Art Nouveau buildings around the church.

How getting there:

The church is located on Gertrudes ieala.
