Yep, more or less. You describe quite a few different places in the article, but this is ok.

A nice combination of old manufacture buildings with modern architecture.

My experience, Explo description:

A few years ago, these large factory buildings were still in a state of disrepair. Now, as a symbol of the willingness of Estonians to modernize, they contain commercial and cultural centers.

Some part of the neighborhood are not yet fully renovated.

Although so well located, the Rottermann Quarter is not easy to find: it is hidden behind the huge Coca Cola Plaza, the Post office and the Nordic Hotel Forum.

If you are looking for sovietic relics, visit the little shop located in the Hobujaama street (Bread Factory building).

My personal recommendations:

Have a look at the New and Old Flour warehouses: the mix of rust and old bricks is particularly interesting.

How getting there:

The Rottermann Quarter is located between the old city center and the port.

A tip to eat:

On the North-Western side of the district (close to the Hotel Metropol), you can find many restaurants and bar/clubs!

A tip to sleep:

There are 3 hotels in the district (Nordic, Metropol and Rottermani) but they are a bit expensive. Try to sleep somewhere else!

Useful information:
Open hours:

All day long!

Visit duration:

1 hour (more if you take advantage of the restaurants and bars!!).

Entry fees:

Free.
