Very rich and very interesting military museum, even for those who are not fanatical of small soldiers.

My experience, Explo description:

Located in the beautiful red brick buildings of the old dockyard, the museum traces the history of arms with uniforms, plans of battles.... Big sections on the time of Peter the Great, the Napoleonic wars and World War II.

Extraordinary collection of guns which are truly monstrous, armoured vehicles, missile and rocket launchers, "katiouchas", presented outdoors on the Plaza.

In front of the Peter and Paul Fortress.

Open hours:

11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and the last Thursday of the month.

Visit duration:

1 to 3 hours

Entry fees:

Full ticket: 300 rbs
Photo right: 100 rbs

Can take a ticket only for the Plaza, where larger vehicles are exposed: 100 rbs (€2.5) if you are in a hurry, but it is a pity to miss what is inside inside.
