A lovely church, a little away from the tourist center, which offers a beautiful panorama.

My experience, Explo description: 

Designed in a pure Romanic style, Eglise de la Major was built in the 12th century. It has since undergone many changes (like the adding of a bell tower and facade), and even a bombed in 1944 ...

Today the church is the religious headquarters of the "Guardians" brotherhood (herdsmen).

After visiting the interior of the church, go to the viewpoint located a few tens of meters north. Superb view over the Rhone, the city, to the Montmajour abbey.

My personal recommendations: 

Visit it on May 1st, when Guardians go there to pay homage to St. George and to bless their horses.

How getting there: 

Many signs, from the arena or theater, lead to to the church.
