A small and free access museum, to discover the history of the harbor.

My experience, Explo description:

Outside the museum, on the wharf, you can see many cranes and port equipments. The museum is lively and you can also in the museum workshops a real working steam machine.

Unfortunatelly, information is mostly in Dutch.

Do not miss to visit the old Buffel battleship and the lighthouse ship (need Maritime Museum tickets for admission on these boats : the guy at the entrance severely fired me when I got there !).

My personal recommendations:

Have a look at the close Maritime Museum (but as you did understand, I prefer the Havenmuseum : smaller and more human size. And also cheaper ;-).
