An amazing view point from the top of the hill overlooking Sète.

My experience, Explo description:

Overlooking Sete from a height of 175 meters, Mont Saint Clair houses many villas with breathtaking views. It is possible to get to the top by feet (on trails) or by car.

The view extends over the sea to the south, over the Thau lagoon, the Cevennes and Pic Saint Loup mountains.

Have a look at the Saint-Clair cross and to the surprising Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette chapel.

My personal recommendations:

There is a trail going up to the summit from the city center (look for the signs). Count a big hour to reach the top. The end of the trail is made of stairs.

Go there in the first part of the day. Most of the time, in the afternoon, due to evaporation, the top of the mount is foggy and you can't see the view... As on my pics...

How getting there:

For the lazy ones, you can go to the top by car. There is a car park.

A tip to eat:

I didn't see any restaurant at the top.

A tip to sleep:

In Sète.
