    Nymboida seems to be far away from everything. Seems to be an off the path location! Cool spot ;)

      Your description of Nymboida is quite general. But still, it seems ok.

Do you love white water rafting, kayaking, abseiling, bushwalking or just floating down the river to view platypus - Nymboida is the place to do all of these things

My experience, Explo description:

Nymboida is located on the NSW north coast in the foothills of the Great Dividing Ranger about 30 minutes south west of Grafton or 1 hr 15 mins west of Coffs Harbour. It offers a great variety of outdoor experiences whether you are experienced or just wish to try for your first time.

White water rafting on the mighty Nymboida River - organised 1, 2 or 3 days trips are available
Abseiling one of the many craggy rock faces around the valley - once again organised operators can take you
Nymboida is surrounded by several National Parks - take a walk through rainforest or other unique vegetation types;

or just hop in your canoe and float down the river and watch platypus at play

or sit along the river and enjoy the bird life (75% of Australia's bird life can be spotted in the Valley)

How getting there:

Nymboida is 7 hours north of Sydney, 4.5 hours south of Brisbane or 2.5 hours south of Byron Bay. The nearest town is Grafton (30 minutes north east of Nymboida). Take the Armidale Road from Grafton and that will take you straight there.

A tip to eat:

Great Coffee Shop at Nymboida - St John's Coffee Stop located in a former Church in the Village - also has available convenience items.

A tip to sleep:

Camping at the Canoe Centre at Nymboida or staying in 1 of their cabins or stay at the historic Coaching Station Inn where motel rooms with spas are available (this property is owned by Russell Crowe - the actor).

Visit duration:

Whilst in the valley, check out the tourist information centre for other of the beaten track adventure opportunities available in the region - contact details for their web page are listed below.
