Visit a declassified Swedish Air Force bunker carved out of solid rock.

My experience, Explo description:

This bunker was built in the early 1950s. As a protective hangar for the contemporary Göta Wing (F 9) of the Royal Swedish Air Force, it is located nearly 30 metres below ground.

The visit is interesting just for the bunker architecture : you will visit a whole underground base, including a control tower !

Guided tours are organised, (about 2 - 3h, including a stop at the bar). This is a bit long at the end... Anyway, this will be an occasion for you to admire a few Swedish fighters : J 32 - Lansen, J 35 - Draken, JA 37 - Viggen.

My personal recommendations:

Book your visit in advance to get a guided tour in English.

How getting there:

Entrance is on the 159 rd (exit N°82 on the E6 - E20 highway), on the east side of the Göteborg City Airport.
