2 river patrol boats, witnesses of the Austrian navy.

My experience, Explo description:

After being withdrawn from service, the 2 patrol boats "Niederösterreich" and "Oberst Brecht" (which was built in 1955 !) were donated to the Austrian army museum.

These patrol boats carried out missions on the Danube.

My personal recommendations:

This site appears to be provisory : it is best to contact the army museum before going, to know if the boats are still there...

How getting there:

Today, the boats stands under the Reichsbrücke bridge (U-Bahn station : U1 / Vorgarten Strasse), next to the starting point for cruises on the Danube.

Do you know if these boats are still at the same place or have been removed?
