A marvellously restored sentimental and picturesque hamlet.

My experience, Explo description: 

This hamlet (classified site) gathers traditional constructions of the Mézenc highlands, with covered lauzes (slates) or thatched house roofs. The slopes of the roof are strong, adapted to the abundant snow falls. Openings are small, to defend from the wind which can be very violent. The thatch is obtained with rye.

Make a stroll through the hamlet to admire the houses, all different.

Visit the Ecomusée : it will teach you more about the traditional construction techniques and activities.
