Camden Lock is an "alternative" village north from Regent's park.

My experience, Explo description:

Camden Lock Market, by the canal, was the original craft market, established in 1974, but now has a much wider spectrum of goods on sale.

Just walk among the little streets and shop in the numerous shops and boutiques that sell a bit every thing from a bit every where...

In the evening the theatres, bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants continue to swing until at least 11pm.

Alternative fashion amateurs will find here all that they need !

My personal recommendations:

Once you have visited the village, make a walk along the Regents canal. It is a very pleasant stroll, leading you to the famous Regents park. From the Lock, there is also a water boat bus, for those who want to make a boat tour.

How getting there:

Tube : Camben Town or Chalk farm station (Northern line).

Camden Market is situated in Camden Town, North-West London. (Travelcard Zone 2).

A tip to eat:

In Camden, you will find hundreds of little restaurants, serving food from all over the world. Try the Gilgamesh bar & Lounge restaurant if you can. It is a bit expensive, but the decoration is really worth it !

Useful information:
Open hours:

Shops and stalls open around 10am usually until 6pm.

Try to visit it on week ends. The place is more crowded !

Visit duration:

1/2 day.

Entry fees:

Free.
