This little Hacienda is located about 3km (East) from the Manaca Iznaga.

My experience, Explo description:

This hacienda was built by Don Mariano Borrell at the end of the 18th century.

There is not much to see, except the little colonial house where you can relax on the terrace while drinking a glass of guarapo (sugar cane juice) or eat something at the restaurant.

My personal recommendations:

Have a look at the Rio Ay and the train bridge. This iron bridge is remarkable.

How getting there:

If you want, you can access to the Casa Guachinango from the Manaca Iznaga plantation by walking along the train track. The trip is about 45min. There is a steam train going to the Valle de los Ingenios from Trinidad every day. The trip is about 2.5 hours.

Else, the plantation is about 21km from Trinidad by car (East).

A tip to eat:

Eat in the very pleasant restaurant of the plantation. Nice cuisine, and so peaceful atmosphere! You will feel like if you were alone!

A tip to sleep:

Trinidad.

Useful information:
Visit duration:

45 min.

Entry fees:

1 CUC (for the car park).
