The position is constituted by a series of encuvements (open-air places for artillery) situated at the top of a hill dominating the sea. Beautiful sun shines in prospect!

My experience, Explo description: 

Built by Germans during WWII, this battery includes 5 artillery guns of 210mm. You can also check out numerous places for anti-air defence.

At the south of the place, check out the Flak (anti aircraft guns) encuvements made of stone walls.

My personal recommendations: 

Good place to visit during a mountain bike trip in neighbouring hills. Do not hesitate to use numerous trails to ride to the sea, which is very close. At the sea, you can visit other fortifications (see the plan) and a old semaphore, or walk on the wild coast going to Carro village.

How getting there: 

20minutes walk from the D49 road, the Bonnieu bay or the Lauron bay.

By car from Marseille. 30mn drive.

You can stay in Carro.
