Imagine a 60 feet high waterfall, a unique place in America where you can see moon bows at night...

My experience, Explo description:

Cumberland Falls is a spot ideal for hikers : 25km of hiking trails will drive you round the park to enjoy scenic areas along the Cumberland river.

Enjoy the different trails of the park. But if you want, there is also a strange place you can go... Hiking up the hill on the waterfall left bank, you will discover an abandoned recreation park with "western time" style village. Beware, the place is private, so please don’t get in and respect owners’ privacy.

Guided rafting trips are offered on the Cumberland River. The park arranges the trips through Daily ; May - October depending on water levels. Fee is charged. Call 800-541-RAFT (7238).

My personal recommendations:

Spend a night at the park lodge, so if you are there at a full moon period and if the sky is not cloudy, you will enjoy a nice and unique moon bow...

How getting there:

Cumberland Falls is 20 miles south west of Corbin. Take US 25W to KY 90.
From I-75 south, take exit 25.
From I-75 north, take exit 15.

A tip to sleep:

You can lodge at the park hotel. (about US 60$)
