Don Tana is a sand bar of 450 metres in width and 700 metres in length that emerges and splits the Mun River into two branches. During the rainy season, the cataract is impressing!

My experience, Explo description:

A little trail leads you through the forest from the visitor centre to the cataract. There, you can use 2 suspension bridges to cross the river.

My personal recommendations:

Try to visit Don Tana during the rainy season : it is much more impressing !

How getting there:

Don Tana is about 4km from Khong Chiam. Take the road 2173, and follow the signs.

A tip to eat:

There is a little restaurant at the visitor centre.

A tip to sleep:

You can sleep in the park, where there are 4 Guest houses, each from 4-6 people. A really nice experience ! Price is from $20 to $40 per night for a bungalow. For more information, contact the park : +66 4540 6888.
Booking can also be arranged through telephone booking at +66 2562 0760 / +66 2562 0706, or go on : http://www.dnp.go.th

Else, you can stay in Khong Chiam.
