One of the nicest Renaissance castle in northern Europe.

My experience, Explo description:

Egeskov Castle, the house as we see it today, was built by Frands Brockenhuus and was completed in 1554.
What to see ? The castle, the park, different little museums and play grounds for kids.

Different little (and kitsch) museums to visit in the castle park : a labyrinth, old cars and plane museum, a motorcycles museum, a farming machines museum, the Dracula crypt...

My personal recommendations:

Have a walk in the park and the garden. It is very nice, with many different sights. During your walk, you can visit the different museums. Attention : the garden is closed from November to April.

How getting there:

Take the 9 from Odense to Svendborg. At the intersection with the 8 (Kvaemdrup), take the 8 (direction Faaborg) and drive 3km (West). The castle is on the right of the road (N).

A tip to eat:

There is a cafeteria.
