Visit a curious church, built on an artificial hill at EUR...

My experience, Explo description:

This church is directly inspired by Michelangelo’s plan for St. Peter’s which was based on a Greek cross shape. It was built from 1935 to 1955.

For a guided tour of the district, ask to the Rome Tourism board or go on : www.romaeur.it

My personal recommendations:

Once you are at the church, don’t forget to visit the Palazzo della Civilta Italianna (500m NE) and the Museum of the Roman Civilization (1km E)...

How getting there:

The Church is about 10mn walk (N) from the EUR Palasport station (subway, line B). Buses n°30, 170, 671, 714, 764 and 791 also get there.
