A breathtaking boat-trip up the Mekong river...

My experience, Explo description: 

Once you are in Luan Prabang and have also visited all the pittoresque Buddhist temples it’s time to go back to Thailand via Mekong river...

You can take many pictures from the little boat

Sometimes the boat stops in the middle of nowhere on a golden sandy "beach" for some engine rest

You can sleep one night in a village in the middle of the vegetation !!

There is a beautiful temple in the middle of the way to the Thai border plenty of Buddhist monks in a cave just off the river

My personal recommendations: 

All the Lao people are very interesting during the trip, specially the boat drivers

How getting there: 

Once in Luan Prabang , just go to the river in the early morning and take the slow boat

A tip to eat: 

Small roasted fish from the river

A tip to sleep: 

You will stop just in a small village and there are couple of budget hotel for tourists
