Ile Verte literally means "the Green Island". A little paradise, with 3 beaches, 2 lost forts ruins, creeks, pine trees and deep blue water.

My experience, Explo description:

Ile Verte is a lovely little uninhabited island situated in front of Ciotat in the Mediterranean Sea : it measures approximately 430 m in length on 260 m in width.

The Saint Pierre fort is located on the top of the island. This old fort has been destroyed during WW2.

My personal recommendations:

As the island is very small and not visited so much, there are no boats getting there in winter time (from October to early May).

How getting there:

By boat. Take the boat shuttle at the La Ciotat port.

A tip to eat:

Take some food and water with you.

A tip to sleep:

Forbidden to sleep on the island. There are many hotels located on the port of La Ciotat.

Useful information:
Open hours:

The boat trip is about 15mn.
