My experience, Explo description:
Marais is Paris’ gay district. Many old buidings, little streets, squares and pedestrian areas : this tour will bring you to various art galleries... Do not hesitate to push galleries’ doors, even if you don’t buy anything ! Photography, painting, scultpure : if you like it, talk with the gallerists, they will be happy to talk about their exhibitions, and if you don’t, just go to the next gallery !...
If you have time, go to the Picasso museum (Hôtel Salé, 5 rue de Thorigny, 75003 PARIS, téléphone : 01 42 71 25 21).
My personal recommendations:
During your tour, do not hesitate to stop and rest on café terrasses...
How getting there:
Beware the map : as the modern art market changes very quickly, some art galleries might not exist anymore when you come... But you can also discover new ones that did just open meanwhile !
Metro : Filles du Calvaire station (line 8). Or by feet from Beaubourg.
A tip to sleep:
You can stay in Paris of course !
