An official vision of Cuba and the Revolution. Propaganda ? Interesting, however.

My experience, Explo description:

The museum is symbolically located in the former presidential palace. This palace was built between 1913 and 1920.

The museum is interesting to visit. Explanations are both in spanish and in english.

Have a look at the SU-100 battle tank in front of the museum (the famous one which was used by Castro during the Pigs Bay attack (Bahia de los Cochinos)).

My personal recommendations:

Behind the museum, a modern building hosts the Pavillion Granma, a memorial dedicated to this famous ship which carried Castro and some other 81 guerrieros from Tuxpan in Mexico to Cuba in 1956 to lead the Revolution. Have a look at the curious Dragon 1 and Tractor used by Revolutionnary troops during the Revolution. You can also see some parts of a U2 distroyed by the Cuban anti-aircrafts defense.

Beware to the guards : they are not cool ;-)

How getting there:

The museum is in Centro Habana.

A tip to eat:

No place to eat in the museum.

A tip to sleep:
