The National Museum of the United States Air Force is maybe the best museum in the world for all those who are interested in military aircraft...

My experience, Explo description:

The museum shows more than 400 aerospace vehicles, including many rare and unique pieces... If you like aircraft, you can’t miss that museum !

Have a look at the airfield outside the museum : the museum is located on the field where the Wright brothers achieved the first human flight...

My personal recommendations:

WW1, WW2, cold war aircraft... From every country... Do not miss the B29 Superfortress, or the Messerchmitt 163 Komet and 262 Schwalbe, the B52, the B2, or the frightening LOCKHEED AC-130A SPECTRE...

How getting there:

The entrance to the National Museum of the United States Air Force is on Springfield Street at historic Wright Field (Gate 28B), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, six miles North-East of Dayton.
