Visiting an original open air modern art museum for free at your own pace, while discovering Paris districts and café terrasses? Let's make an art galleries tour! Today, let's stop at Saint Germain des prés...

My experience, Explo description:

Saint Germain des Prés... So romantic ! Saint Germain is also the original place for artists in Paris... Many old buildings, little streets, squares and pedestrian areas : this tour will bring you to various art galleries...
Art at Saint Germain is more classic than modern.
Do not hesitate to push galleries’ doors, even if you don’t buy anything ! Photography, painting, scultpure : if you like it, talk with the gallerists, they will be happy to talk about their exhibitions, and if you don’t, just go to the next gallery !...

If you have time, go to the French National Art school (Ecole National Supérieure des Beaux Arts, 14 rue Bonaparte, 75006 Paris / School Exhibition hall : 13, quai Malaquais, 75006 Paris) and try to enter in to get lost in the miscellaneous corridors where you can see different works on progress...

My personal recommendations:

During your tour, do not hesitate to stop and rest on café terrasses...

How getting there:

Beware the map : as the modern art market changes very quickly, some art galleries might not exist anymore when you come... But you can also discover new ones that did just open meanwhile !
Saint Germain or Odeon metro stations (line 4)

A tip to sleep:

You can stay in Paris of course !
