A little Khmer temple in a village.

My experience, Explo description:

This temple was erected at the same period as its neighbours : Phimai or Phanom Rung (11th - 13th century AD).

Sri Khota Phum temple is a very small temple, and that is why not many tourists stop there.

My personal recommendations:

This temple is easy to visit if you stay in Surin.

How getting there:

Take the Rd n°226 from Surin to Si Saket. Drive about 40km (E). You will reach Sri Khora Phum. There, beware, because there is only one road sign indicating the site (on the left (N) side of the road), whereas the road is very large (3 or 4 lanes) and other cars drive fast, even here in a populated area.

A tip to eat:

No place to eat at the site. Eat in the village.

A tip to sleep:

There is no major city located close to Muang Tham.

You can stay in Surin, in the sympathetic Pirom and Aree’s Guest house (see related article).
