Explo History and Description: 

The Velo-Rail story starts on the 4th July 1990 when it comes to save the portion of rail road track from Dainvillers to Mont-sur-Meurthe, sentenced to death. The idea came from Sweden, where rail pedals are a widespread means of locomotion : the General Council of Meurthe-et-Moselle invested in 6 of them rail bikes. The project is now managed by Mortagne Val.

From Magnières, rails bikes allow you to go for adventure in the Valley of Mortagne, visiting the Gallo-Roman villa of Lana (Vallois territory), the medieval bridge and the castle of Moyen or the park of the Gerbéviller castle...

For practical information stool are adjustable, the cadence is very easy and accessible even to the young. A draisine (rail bike) can support 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children.
