Nakhon Ratchasima is a big city with not much to see. Wat Phra Narai Maharat is maybe the most interesting place to visit there.

My experience, Explo description:

This wat is located on a little island in the middle of the city.

While you visit the temple, you can go to the Thao Suranaree Memorial (Khun Ying Mo, 500m East). Suranaree was a Thai princess, native from Nakhon Ratchasima, and her memorial is very popular and still attract many devoted people.

My personal recommendations:

Do not miss to observe that the temple is divided in 2 parts : the island is only populated by cats, whereas when you cross the bridge, the other side is the dogs’ hideout... :-)

How getting there:

The temple is located close to the crossroad between Th Prajak and Th Atsadang, in the city centre.

A tip to sleep:

Many hotels in Nakhon Ratchasima.
