A bunker like modern church. Worth to see from an architectural point of view. Advised for people who are fed up with Vienna's Baroque styled churches!

My experience, Explo description:

The name of the church comes from its designer : Fritz Wotruba.

It was built between 1965 and 1976, in a bucolic place with a nice sight on Vienna : the Vienna’s woods.

The church is closed most of the time. This is not a problem, because what is interesting to see is the exterior, whereas the inside is not particularly noteworthy. If you want to, you can call ahead to schedule a viewing of the church.

Many trails around the church are leading directly to the forest heart. Do not hesitate to make a little walk.

My personal recommendations:

Close to the church (300m), please make a stop at the strange Star Garden open sky planetarium...

How getting there:

Park your car at the Ryser Gasse (Wien Mauer).

A tip to eat:

No place to eat there. There are a few little restaurants in the forest (1km to go). You can access there only by feet. To localize them, check out the numerous placards in the forest, with maps.
