A magnificent sight on a huge defile.

My experience, Explo description:

Many trails go from Zabriskies Point to the neighbouring canyons.

Don’t miss the view on the Red Cathedral (on the right).

My personal recommendations:

Combine this visit with these of Dante’s peak view (18miles away, south east) and the 20 mules team road (1mile away, south east).

How getting there:

Zabriskie point is on the hwy 190 (from Furnace creek to Death Valley Junction).

A tip to eat:

No place to eat there. Closest restaurants : Furnace creek or Beatty.

A tip to sleep:

Furnace creek, Stovepipe wells village or Beatty.
>There is a camping at Furnace creek. There is also a motel (it is quite expensive, about $270 for a night, and full most of the time, but it is really worth sleeping there, because of its unique ambiance) : Furnace Creek Inn : 760 786 2345, from may to October.
>Motel. $100 per night. 760 786 2387.
>Else, you will find more accommodations (and casinos for amateurs) at Beatty.
