Sakkarin cave, Tham Xieng Maen, Luang Prabang, added by Vincent

An unknown 100m deep cave covered with Buddha statues... No lights: a monk will unlock the door and guide you through the cave with a torch... A strange place and a great souvenir!

The Wat Tham Xieng Maen was founded in 1889 and since abandoned. It is located in a cave called Tham Sakkarin Savannakuha.

The cave is located about 200m (NE) from Wat Long Khun.

Sri Khota Phum Khmer temple, Surin, Isan, Thailand, added by Bolino

A little Khmer temple in a village.

This temple was erected at the same period as its neighbours : Phimai or Phanom Rung (11th - 13th century AD).

Sri Khota Phum temple is a very small temple, and that is why not many tourists stop there.

Kokil Dara Khanagha, Termez, Uzbekistan

An interesting restored Khanagha.

This Khanagha was built on the 16th century. This monument is quite original and looks much more like an Afghan style than a Bukhara style.

Chapelle de Cardonnet, romanic chapel, Cournonterral, France

A very nice little chapel, lost in beautiful landscapes...

This Romanic style chapel was built in the 12th century, near the road linking the salt lines of Villeneuve-les-Maguelone to Aniane.

It is relatively close to the ruined castle of Aumelas, which had a great importance at that time.

A strange underground in Arles' very heart...

Stroll through the galleries. There are many departures of smaller galleries and underground sewer (but access to them is most of the time blocked and banned). The site is curiously little visited. It provides a welcomed coolness in summer. Out of time and very secret, this visit is one of my favorite in Arles...
